AL M. Scott, pen name for Major (Ret.) Scott A. Meehan, has written five books and is an award winning photographer. He is a retired U.S. Army veteran who served for twenty-five years (1980-2005) and now resides in Orlando, Florida with his family, including three grandchildren. Scott has been on local radio shows, was interviewed by James Glanz of the New York Times, and has published letters to the editor at Time Magazine and The Army Times. Following the footsteps of C. S. Lewis, Kurt Vonnegut, and Ernest Hemingway, he blends his unique military experiences into his writing aimed at a wide diverse audience. Scott’s genres include paranormal, romance, YA/MG and his autobiography is, “Stone In A Sling” and “All I Could Be.” While completing his Ph.D. dissertation in Organizational Management, Scott teaches computer courses at local colleges, volunteers with youth organizations, and has contributed to military family support groups.
